Father can you hear me
a chill ran through my bones.
I was afraid to look
He’s here, I’m not alone.

Then I got real mad
and told Him He’s to blame.
Then I remember that was my doubt
it always seem the same.

Then my heavenly Father
told me not to fear.
I remember to reach out
He is always here.

And through He son
He spoke to me.
You're no longer captive
I came to set you free.

He spoke to me gently
I started to calm down.
I might say I don’t like it,
but I’m glad that He’s around.

I found when I’m in trouble
He‘s takes a hold of me.
Fills my with His love
He clears my mind, I see!

I see there is no other
that has such love for me.
He’s the capture of my soul
His love has set me free.

The next time you’re in trouble
just stop and look around.
And if you believe
God‘s hand are reaching down.

He’ll pick you up and hold you
to the very end.
And when you think all is lost
God helps cause He’s your friend.

I enjoyed how this piece showed the range of emotions people experience in their relationship with God.

I love the message in this poem. It has a wonderfully honest depth of a relationship with God. There are a few blemishes which could easily be cleared up with the help of a challenge buddy or critique circle. Wonderful piece just the same.
