to find some joy not pain.
The tears I found they fill my eyes
pour from my heart like rain.
No matter where I look
hatred is all I see.
I try with all my might
to cause some joy to be.
No matter where I wander
it’s happiness I seek.
I talk to all who’ll listen
from strong right to the weak.
So one day I found
a feeling like none before.
It was from just a knock
that came upon a door.
The one that they call God
stepped through and lifts your life.
He will clear the pain away
bring calmness out of strife.
With his wings around you
a thing called love He’ll give.
A peace He gives forever
gives you strength to live.
He covers you with love
like none you’ve felt before.
All of this He started
with a knock upon the door.
