Topic: HOPE (joyful, confident expectation in salvation) (03/05/15)
I sit here very somber
my head is in my heads.
I’m lost from the happiness
that God has made from sands.

Everything I seems to try
always turns out wrong.
The sin I have, plagues me
it’s with me all day long.

I do not have someone
that will stand right by my side.
Teach me things like how to hope
I can only run and hide.

My sin’s a heavy burden
it drives me to the ground.
When I though “I’m clean”
It’s there all around.

How can I ever stop it
my will is very weak.
There’s nobody that can help me
there’s nowhere left to seek.

Then I heard of this savior
Jesus was his name.
It was said He’d take your sins
Cleanse them of their blame.

The hope that He gave me
filled me with great glee.
There is joy around me
my captive soul was free.

Now that I walk with Him
He shows me that He cares.
I can walk so straight and tall
Jesus my sin now bears.

Finally I can see
someone who really cares.
He helps me through the darkness
with hope He’s always there.

Thanks for sharing your meaningful poem! I think you meant to say "my head is in my hands" in the first stanza. Later in the poem where is says, "When I though “I’m clean” - did you mean to say, 'When I thought, "I'm clean" ?
