reminds me of my plight.
I'm captive in the realm of sin
fighting a losing fight.
I don't know where to turn to
I don't know who to see.
I was told I'll burn in hell
what will become of me!
I tear my clothes , I rant and rave.
Call to the vacant air.
I feel so lost and all alone
a weight I cannot bear.
The darkness of my yesterday
reeks havoc on my soul.
Tears me down to nothingness
I am half where once was whole.
Nothing left, no place to go
I've finally given up.
I seek the living water
but drink from a bitter cup.
Then a friend of mine came swiftly
his loving arms 'round me.
He said , “come and pray a prayer
I know it'll set you free.”
Quietly I talked to God
laying out my dirty sin.
I ask Him for redemption
forgive the state I'm in.
Peace spilled from a loving cup
is filling up my mind.
I feel God's love surrounding me
a love so very kind.
I feel a weight has lifted
washing out my sin.
Making me whiter than snow
bring me back from where I've been.
So if your being's troubled
and you feel so all alone.
Pray to God earnestly
and He will take you home.
