not letting my mind be at ease.
It drags me down can't see a thing
it act just like some disease.
Yesterday was just a joke
it was a waste of time.
All the things I used to be
are shadows in my mind.
I wasted my salvation
I gave it all away.
There were lies in all I did
and in all the words I'd say.
The sin of greed was present
it bothered me all day.
I cannot get enough of things
I got to have my way.
Everything is closing in
my sins are growing great.
I want to get God's answer
I just can't stand to wait.
But all I hear is silence
I pondered what that meant.
I realized that was the answer
I would have to repent.
I asked Him how I do that
with this question God was pleased.
He said, “meet Me inside your mind
humbly on you knees.
Just admit you're helpless
and cannot seem to win.
and I will strengthen you
wash away your sin.”
Believe me that works wonders
your life will start anew.
Ask and it shall be given
He'll give it all to you.
Drip drip echoes in the sink
finally my mind's at ease.
God has give me new strength
in me He's finally pleased.
