I'm trapped, lost, alone.
My sins surround and drown me
cause my soul to moan.
I wonder, never knowing
if there is a God?
I heard he could save me –
that would be very odd.
Every day I sin
it clutters up my mind.
I cannot see the answer
the strength I cannot find.
Foolishly I stumble
through this place called life.
Every day my burdens
stab me like a knife.
Every place is empty
there are echoes in the hall.
They screams out, “I'm lonely”
I feel so very small.
I don't to have direction
I wonder all the day.
I give up this wasted life,
suicide will be the way.
A friend said come to church;
God will meet you there.
He will take your sins away.
He always treats you fair.
I was driving down the road
on the way to take my life.
It would take away the pain
and would ease the strife.
In tears I ask this question,
could I have some one to hug?
It would ease the pain I have
this sadness I would shrug.
When I got to the chapel
they said kneel and be freed.
As I knelt a woman
said I know just what you need.
She gave me the biggest hug
bringing tears into my eyes.
I trembled at what happened
that's when I realized
it was in that moment
things started to click.
that's when He saved my soul.
It happened just that quick.
Each day I speak to Him
Spill my sins upon the floor.
He gathers each and every one
He forgives and they're no more.
My life has not been the same
I found that God does care.
He leads me into righteousness
shows me He's always there.
Everything that happened
happened just that quick.
I'd still be lost in loneliness
if it wasn't for that click.
