perched amidst the jasmine vine
in a garden lost in time
pondering the garden stone
my heart cries out to Thee alone
Lord, you hold my destiny
what is the path You’ve planned for me?
You gently whisper to my soul
no need to look before
what’s past is past
redeemed at last
stand firm and gaze ahead
in the sparrows’ call You sing
walk the path of My own choosing
do not look back
at what you’ve lacked
do not worry if you fall
be only faithful to My call
for as you journey in this land
you shall know I hold your hand
You gently whisper to my soul
no need to look before
what’s past is past
redeemed at last
stand firm and gaze ahead
Your words, O Lord, now light my way
come direct my steps I pray
Your Spirit calls come forth today
listen close to what I say
as I walk through the garden gate
I know the Lord hath sealed my fate
