'He glared through my eyes to attempt to see
What the future would bring and how I would be' I remember my mother near the time of her death, looking at me in such a way. Thank you for this poem.
The tender and honest expressions of a child losing a parent are beautifuly expressed; poetry is such a personel art and this is clearly deeply personel - and beautiful because of it, so I hesitate to suggest that perhaps re-structuring it slightly into 2 or perhaps 3 stanza's would allow it to flow better. Never the less, this is very moving. God bless.
