Of course I love you. You are the family God has given me.
But, why can't you be like Jack's parents?
Excited for the upcoming holidays. Looking forward to it…
My legitimate excuses are running out. Ugh.
As a Sibling
Why does Alex get everything!
Why does Alex get everything!
As a Friend
We'll always be friends--you and me.
Unless you stab me in the back..
Until you get on my nerves.
...and I'll be there for you, always.
As long as I'm not busy.
Fridays are out. Mondays, too.
Other than that...I'm there for you.
So, call on me, day or night.
Talk to my voice mail. I'll call you back when it's convenient for ME. Oh yea. Got your latest message. Why were you crying, anyway?
As a Spouse
I promise to love, honor and protect you.
Unless someone better comes along or until I get bored of you. (Also valid under 'employment')
...and I will never hurt you.
So long as things go my way.
I vow to always talk things through.
But, if you say something I don't agree with, I WILL hang up or walk out…
As a Parent
I love you all equally.
Except Johnny. He frustrates me.
I just want what's best for you.
...and that is for you to get out. You're eighteen. My job's done.
Or
You're almost Eighteen. It's ALMOST time to get out.
Speaking of jobs-
As an Employee
You can count on me!
As long as I get a raise or my performance is somehow recognized.
Sure, I'm a team player.
That is, if I can select my team. Let me tell you, it wouldn't consist of Sam, Lisa or Eddie.
You want me to do what?
Why do I have to do it? I did it LAST week. Let Sam do it.
As a Neighbor
Could you look after my pets for me while I'm away?
You know, do something constructive besides blowing your leaves in my yard.
As a Christian
I don't get it, Lord. People are all about themselves. No one does anything out of love or consideration for others. Seriously, what's wrong with people these days?
