I was totally wrapped-up in your story. It took a totally different turn from what I expected. I like your creative take on the topic… and as a side-note. (My husband is a conductor-engineer for the RR and practically every trip he sees people drive around crossing gates to "beat the train." It's so dangerous!...besides ruining many lives of the victim's family… it can also ruin the life of the engineer who has no way to stop a train that is moving fast .)

A want to say a nice story of redemption but somehow 'nice' seems too mild. But an 'uncomfortable story' sounds like an insult! Well done.
WOW. I was hooked from the beginning. I loved the twist that the man was a former pastor. I think due to our length limitations, sometimes our characters make unbelievably swift turnarounds. Excellent and enjoyable read!
