“Against me earth and hell combine,
But on my side is power divine;
Jesus is all and He is mine!”
Can we with one accord, with the sweetest appreciation sing these heavenly words from the depth of the heart? Certainly we can say “Jesus is all and He is mine”….Hallelujah!
All this is because of the Glory of the Manger and the Cross.
When we, God’s children are able to chant these words earnestly, zealously, vigorously and with unsuppressed joy, then we will glorify Him with these expressions, in great gratitude because Jesus the Son of God once came into this world… clothed himself in humanity as the meek son of man.
Thanks to Isaiah the prophet, who prophesied and forewarned us in his book Ch 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulders; his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, and The Prince of Peace.”
Jesus died on the cross of Calvary, the third day He rose from the dead for you and me. By His Resurrection He gave mankind a clear path to choose Him as the Way…the Truth…and the Life…Man can escape hell…and hurl himself freely into the loving, forgiving arms of God’s fatherly mercy, freedom and hope. Therefore we also celebrate Noel with great dignity singing, “Hallelujah! What a Savior!”
In the Word of God, we are told that the Christ Child was born in a humble stable in Bethlehem. Those Good Tidings of great Joy will also incite us to have an all lit-up Manger in our front yard as a great Celebration gesture! It will be in honor of the birth of JESUS, God’s own lamb! Hallelujah.
After this, comes the choice of a beautiful green or even artificial Christmas tree to decorate fully with lights. Then place it where EVERYONE will see it, praise it, and feel with us; so we demonstrate hearty feelings of belonging to Christ. Certainly we may realize how many folks have never read the Bible They mainly celebrate Noel, because the rest of us do so.
Christmas is similarly an opportunity to look deeper into our hearts and rejoice, recalling the Incarnation of our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ. Evidently we may spend more time and money preparing for outward celebrations with dazzling lights surrounding each home. When we put these festivities to good use, also spending time getting our hearts as well as our homes decorated and tuned to celebrate Jesus--Himself….this will indeed serve two purposes at the same time.
In the month of December the entire world is overcome by singing, “Silent night…Holy Night.”
When we are born again of God’s great Holy Spirit…and Jesus becomes our redeemer, we too need to surround ourselves with the joy which comes from the heart.
Let us all sing and repeat the same song, yet with more depth and zeal. For to us, they have a greater importance indeed!.
In an expressive list titled “Ten Commandments for Christmas,” it appears like some unknown person really conveys the deep need for more focus upon the Lord rather than upon ourselves? Yes he did!
Here are some of those precious advices of great importance….Come! Let us have them printed out separately in big, bold letters, and let us attach each to the obvious line of light bulbs that we normally strand and hang around on our Christmas Tree!
• Thou shalt not leave Christ out of Christmas. This day is about Him and the gift HE gave to all men.
Be sure your family understands the true value of Christmas.
• Thou shalt not allow Santa Claus to take the place of Christ at Christmas. If you do, you make a fairy tale out of the most precious truth known to man. Be sure your family understands the true value of Christmas.
• Thou shalt give thy best gift to Christ at Christmas: That is your heart. Vow that you will keep Christ at the top of your Christmas list every year; and you will find that Christmas can be new every year, and that you can keep the spirit of Christmas always.
• Thou shalt change the habitual “ I ..me.. my.. mine… and myself” to Jesus…Him…His…His Own…and Himself!
So, with all our hearts let us consider these issues:Then let us together, say the loudest AMEN!
