“In the inner crustacean of forgotten minds lurks the meaning of free expression, the unwanted toleration of a mechanical society, and though a thousand voices unheard can only leave behind symbols of time… man has interrogated there thoughts from plus to minus; it’s a positively negative, plastic society of IBM people and credit card minds!”
Thunderous applause followed the guest speaker’s address to the “Society Of Inner-Self Awareness” annual rally for peace.
“What did he say, mommy?” the little girl asked as she tugged on her mother’s sundress.
“Oh, I am so thrilled you were able to come with me in order to hear from our master’s own voice his words of love to his children.”
“Yea, but what did he say?” the girl continued with a most confused look upon her face.
“Well, his words are deep as the ocean itself, and we often go away with questions that are answered as his words filter into our minds, Carolyn.”
“Does it hurt?” she asked.
Her mother took her hand as they walked back to her car. She smiled at her child and simply stated, “When you grow inside… then you’ll understand.”
They went down the road facing their two-day drive back to Berkley. The little girl thought in her mind, “I think I don’t want to grow up inside if it means that I could understand what he said.”
She gazed out the window listening to the “Sounds of Cerebral Knowledge” CD, (an instrumental compilation of a Flute, a Water Drum with an Aeolian Harp for backup,) and wondered if there was a God.
“I’m hungry mommy.” She wanted to have something without bean sprouts, but new that walnut butter and bread that you could offer as a “Nut-mix” if you were throwing party was most likely on her menu.
Her mother handed her a neatly rapped sandwich in a brown paper bag, as they pulled into gas station in their Liquid Petroleum Gas earth-first vehicle.
Her mother, Carla, also known as “Moon Glow” to her friends, told Carolyn to stay in the car until her return.
Carolyn quickly turned off the music and fiddled with the radio trying to find something she could enjoy, when suddenly a man’s voice came across the airwaves saying, “Look to God little children, not to wisdom of man. Listen to what God has to say about man’s wisdom.” He then began to explain the Cross of Christ and quoted from the Bible.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written:
“ I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”
Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
The preacher continued:
“God has given all of us the freedom to choose. No matter what you are facing He knows you, and cares for you. Wives, he knows about the husband your with. Husbands, He knows about the wife. Children, He knows about your parents, so to all of you I say, love, honor and obey each other. By this you will honor God…”
She was amazed and said out loud, “Wow, now that I can understand!”
Carolyn saw her mother approaching and quickly pushed the CD back into position.
Her mother sat in the car and reached into a bag. “Mommy, I think I’m growing inside, and I love you just the way you are.”
Her mother smiled and said, “Thank you, Carolyn.” She patted her on the head as she offered Carolyn some trail mix and vegetable juice.
Carolyn thought to her self, “I like Your wisdom much better than the guy we came to see, God.”

I caught some typos and "off" words (new instead of knew, for instance), but nothing a proofread wouldn't catch.
This was a very interesting read.

In other words: I'm glad my eye caught this. It was a fun read.
