Of one whose feelings show…
Brings empathy or joy,
When taking time,
Their heart to know.
The face of one
Whose grieving heart displays…
Loss shows itself through tears,
Deep anguish shows,
Confusion reigns.
To read the face
Of one whose grief spills out…
Full purging of the soul,
No holding back,
Lets sadness out.
The face of one
Whose fear is clearly seen,
Who speaks with trembling lips,
Dark shock-filled eyes -
A soul demeaned.
To read the face
Of one whose pain conveys…
Degraded, victimized,
A shaken one -
Such sad displays.
The face of one
Whose caring, tender eyes,
Exuding empathy,
Shows kindness true -
Deep love comprise.
To read the face
Of one whose tenderness,
Authentic, genuine…
Whose care mere words
Cannot express.
The face of one
Whose smile lights your heart…
Pink, glowing cheeks,
Bright dancing eyes -
Joy leaves its mark.
To read the face
Of one whose happiness
Could never be contained,
But shines right through,
Your soul to bless.
To read the face
Of one whose feelings show...
Brings empathy or joy,
When taking time,
Their heart to know.
