Art seems to be a universal language. Men and women from every background, nation and era have been involved in this creative endeavor.
No doubt, they were all very good, but I consider myself the greatest artist of them all. The difference between me and them is they all used some sort of medium to work in; I create something from nothing.
A good trick you say; it’s no trick at all. I have the ability to speak things in to being. Just take a look at the evening sunset or morning sunrise and compare their beauty to anything you’ve ever seen before.
Those other guys just painted what they saw me create. I so enjoy splashing the darkening blackish blue heaven with streaks of glowing reds and yellows then dabbing it all with fading pastels of purples and lavenders.
Ha, you can’t even see my brush strokes!
What about those seascapes? There’s almost nothing to compare to a raging foam drenched surf as it eats away at the sandy shores. The relentless crashing waves mount up one after another in a never ending line as soldiers preparing for battle.
Oh, and there’s my favorite of them all; the majestic mountains that stand like kings against opposing forces. Their peaks jut up through snow laden clouds reaching forever upward to touch the stars.
Yes, I do love to create things; it is my very nature to do so. That’s why mankind desires to do the same; because I created you in my image and gave you the same creative desires.
Oh, by the way, you are my greatest work of art yet. I made the entire universe in only seven days but is spent an eternity designing it all; especially you. You are so complex; you have no idea. I know you think you do, but you don’t. If you take all you know about the human body and compared it to all there is it would be like comparing a thimble full of water to the entire contents of the ocean.
And, what’s even more fascinating than that is no two of you are identical; even twins aren’t really the same.
Yes, you are beautiful; and I mean inside and out. I chose only the best materials for your construction, but the greatest part of you is the soul. Your body was actually the easy part of it all; your mind, spirit and soul really took some creative doing let me tell you!
It was all going so well until that day. Oh, that day when my beautiful creation was marred for ever. The colors I so very carefully chose began to run and appear diluted. The brilliance of them all was gone.
I studied the entire mess for some time and finally came up with a plan to renovate the entire project. There have been so many statues, carvings, poems, books and paintings depicting my choice for redemption that no one person can see them all.
What, you don’t know what I am talking about? Well, read my book; it’s called the Bible, then get back with me and we will discuss it over lunch.
