TITLE: Oaks of Righteousness | Previous Challenge Entry

an acorn fell.
Then more acorns flew,
swirling, twirling on the wings of the wind.
Then they were thrown to the ground by gravity.
A Blue Jay swooped down,
eyed each capped prize,
weighed the promise of a satisfying meal,
and quite unknowingly,
fulfilled the will of the Sender,
by planting a forest of oaks.
Centuries flew by and these righteous trees
offered shade and blessings, comfort, joy,
and beauty as they raised their lofty, leafy arms
in praise of the One Who planted them.
O LORD, may we, your children,
be like these oaks of righteousness,
spreading the healing gospel of peace to those who grieve,
sharing the joy of Your salvation with those who mourn,
displaying Your beauty in words and deeds,
with lifted arms, singing praises to Your splendor.
And in the end,
we will arise to a new beginning.
beyond imaginations born in this world,
to a never-ending Life with You.

(I do think that the wind would have ‘thrown’ the acorns to the ground but gravity would more likely ‘pull’ them.
