My path was so dark that in utter despair, I dropped to my knees in prayer.
Oh Lord,
The kids need new clothes again and the bills aren’t paid. No matter what I do, I just can’t seem to make ends meet. I don’t know where to start or where it all will end.
And the Lord said:
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds though Christ Jesus. Phil 4:6-7 NKJ
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, and prove Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.” Mal 3:10 NKJ
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’”
32 “For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.”
33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Mt 6:31:33 NKJ
Oh Lord,
The one thing I do for myself, and for you, is to write. It is my joy, but my mind is so full of worries that I cannot find the words you would have me to write. I don’t know where to start or where it all will end.
And the Lord said:
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things. Phi 4:8 NKJ
“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” Jn 15:11 NKJ
Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Ps 37:4 NKJ
Oh Lord,
I work until I am exhausted, but there is always so much more to do. I don’t know where to start or where it all will end.
And the Lord said:
28 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
30 “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” Mt 11:28-30 NKJ
Oh Lord,
It just seems impossible for me to break the hold of this sin in my life. I don’t know where to start or where it all will end.
And the Lord said:
Your Word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. Ps 119:11 NKJ
1 I waited patiently for the Lord: and He inclined to me, And heard my cry. 2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. Ps 40:1-2 NKJ
Oh Lord,
I am overwrought by problems and you have reminded once again, that You are the Beginning and the End. If only I will start with You and Your word, everything will end perfectly with You, for You Lord, are truly the Alpha and Omega, the Almighty.
And the Lord said:
Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light and a light to my path. Ps 119:105 NKJ
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Rom 8:28 NKJ
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid“ Jn 14:27 NKJ
“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Rev 1:8 KJV
