One day, I was walking down the road, and I saw a neighbor who was carrying a heavy box. I said, “Let me help you with that.” He agreed.
That’s what neighbors do.
Weeks ago, I was in my room crying, and my husband came to my aid and wrapped his arms around me and told me everything would be ok.
That’s what spouses do.
On my birthday, my children threw me a surprise party. They made a cake, gave me gifts, and showered me with love.
That’s what families do.
I got a call from my good friend. She told me I was on her mind and asked if she could pray with me. Then she asked if I was free for lunch that day.
That’s what friends do.
Neighbors who ignore their neighbors – this shouldn’t be.
Spouses who don’t attend to the needs of their spouses – this shouldn’t be.
Families who don’t honor and show love to each other – this shouldn’t be.
And friends who only pretend to be friends, that’s called frenemies – this shouldn’t be.
Psalm 133:1 How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!
