Crowds stood with me while Jesus taught them from a boat, so you must know I am much older than all of you.
I might go on as far as you can see, or I could be petit in size. I might be filled with rugged rocks and sharp objects, or I could be silky smooth. Sometimes I am white and look like I am snow-covered, but often I am grey or brown.
I am beaten every day, yet I never complain. I reveal treasures, but I also lose them. Many things put me down, but I go with the flow, and it all works out. I can be tightly packed or loosely blowing, depending on what is happening around me. I might be hot or cold, but I usually bring back fond memories of fun times.
I am a nature center par excellence. Birds love me, insects love me, fish love me, plants love me; even horses love me. Little animals delight in me as they scurry about, leaving behind their ever-so-strange little footprints.
Coming to me, if only in your mind, brings a welcome respite from your daily grind. It can make you sure that you hear palm branches clapping a rhythm all their own, and you will be at peace. I provide a platform with energy, sustenance, power, and wealth to share with all of you.
Who or what am I?
Don’t you know? I am a beach, and if you experience me in any form, I can contribute joy and calm to you; but be sure that you treat me respectfully as I am a beautiful creation given to you by your Heavenly Father.
