I keep the forest healthy, and I keep you warm.
The meals I cook are super, but too much of me is bad.
While I keep you comfortable, many things I do are sad.
Though I light your way, I can cause much pain.
But if you need me, I can add much gain.
Yes, I am powerful, reducing to nothing acres before me.
But I bring new life and nutrients to the land that you see.
I am frightful, but I can be tamed.
Love me, hate me, for both, I am famed.
You may know by now that I am fire, who may take but also may give.
Be careful and respect me, and I will always see that you live.
God made me for good, but also for what you call bad.
I am needed for both because I am both, whether happy or sad.
