Topic: LOVE (11/18/21)
God spoke the heavens and earth into existence. He created the sun for the day and the moon for the night. He hung the stars where he wanted. He flooded the seas with fish and other sea creatures. The land flourished with fruit baring trees and other healthy vegetation. He created livestock and wild animals for the land. Birds filled the air. He created an unblemished world.

God created man and placed him in the center of the garden of Eden. His responsibility was to work the land and took care of it. God gave Adam one command. The Lord God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.” Genesis 2:16,17 NASB.

God created Eve. The couple lived in paradise and enjoyed the fruits of God’s love. They were living in God’s glory. They knew only what was good. God blessed Adam and Eve with free will something all His other creations did not have. This is the freedom God gave them. They abused their freedom when they fell for Satan’s lie and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Their action bore a heavy consequence. God cast them out of the garden.

The human race became slaves to sin because of their disobedience. We needed a savior; so God sent his Son. “For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.” John 3:17 NASB. The only way Jesus could save the world was to take on the sins of man. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 NASB Jesus was crucified, buried, and rose from the dead after three days.

Adam and Eve lived in paradise free of sin. They became sinners by disobeying God. We were born with a sin nature. When we accept Jesus and believe in him He sets us free from sin. “So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36 NASB. Adam and Eve were banished from Eden. As believers we are adopted into the family of God. Galatians 4:7 reads, “Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.

The almighty loving God shows us His love in John 3:16 NASB. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

This was a very informative piece. I liked how you used Scripture to back up your story.

I believe you may have added more showing instead of telling us to add even more impact.
