When Truth Goes into Hiding

I know truth stands by. It prevails. Veiled for a purpose.
Peace stays near, watching me by with grace.
I know that in such an evil time as this, truth is concealed in love and kindness.

For I seek spiritual anchorage.
I desperately seek refuge in such a time as we are in.
In truth, I take shelter. Secretly shield me in trust and courage.

In this evil, troubling world we live in,
Corrupt minds destroy everything good and everything truth.
They cover up, obscure and masquerade in their deepest state of evil skin.

But you and I seek. We, who see in this very dark wintertime.
Greater insight grows warmer in your and my soul.
About the issue of concealment; truth withholds for the meantime.

Truth conceals His presence to offer a deeper truth for our understanding.
If God were to reveal His light all at once at all times,
I probably couldn’t live with it. It would be too overwhelming.

“Listen to Me,” God says, “I am Truth, Life, the only Way.” “Stand still, it’s My battleground.”
“I hide My face on that day because of human heart’s evil inclinations.”
I know truth stands by. It prevails. Veiled for a purpose.
I know that in such an evil time as this, truth is concealed in love and kindness.

We are here in this evil day and age, because past generations understood
This truth: That we are grafted into earthly exile.
Truth goes into hiding is not the absence of God’s love, presence and fortitude.

Truth goes into hiding, merely a concealment of His grace.
“I will hide My face on that day through the harshest circumstances;”
“I, by in no means forsake you. But know this, My presence is your hiding place.”

You and I who follow righteousness and truth, we do hear.
We, who seek the LORD: Look to the Rock,
From where we were formed, from the hole of the pit, we were dug— we shall not fear.

For the LORD comforts. His care is in secret, concealed.
Peace within our soul amidst waste places,
Makes our wilderness like Eden. The Garden of the LORD, His Truth revealed.

“My righteousness is near, my salvation has gone forth,”
“You shall wait for Me, and on My arm shall you trust.”
“Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look beneath the earth.”

Joy and gladness shall be found, therein is all good.
There’s thanksgiving and there’s voice of melody.
We are here in this evil day and age, because past generations understood;
Truth goes into hiding--is not the absence of God’s love, presence and fortitude.
