~Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.~ 1 Cor 9:24

What is more miraculous than a newborn baby taking its first gasp of air separate from the mother’s womb? Simultaneously, this same child is thrust into this race we all refer to as life. This race is embedded with love, grief, disappointment, hardships, failures and successes. Most importantly of all, this race has the crucial element of free will. Free will being the very thin line that exists between eternal bliss and eternal damnation.

This miracle child, who has now become a man, has an eternal decision to make. The question now becomes, “Will he get off to the right start?” Will he utilize the crucial element of free will to capture eternal bliss or to run the slow race that leads to eternal damnation?” For the Word says,

~Enter by the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads
to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate
and difficult is the way which leads to life and there are few who find it.~
Matthew 7:14

Now the miracle no longer lies in the child but in the ability of the man to use free will as a compass; a compass that points the way to life, which is in Christ-the one and only right start.

~Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended,; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.~ Phil 3:12-14
