He took my license and registration, they always do, and said, “Your license was suspended”.
He took a long time in his cruiser to see why I guess on his computer. I could not think of anything I would have done to cause that, it was quite a puzzle. Finally, he came back and said, “You have not paid a January 2012 ticket in Delaware and they suspended your license.”
I replied, “I know I paid that last year.”
He was very helpful and told me what to do to get the receipt so I could get my license back. He said, “For driving without a license, I could take you to jail, and give you eight citations.” I must have looked a bit concerned. But he continued,“I will only give you two, just make sure you take care of this before you drive.”
Then he kept my license and said, “Do you have someone to drive you home?”
I said, “No one.”
He was being very kind and said, “See that parking lot, pull in there and park, I will go on down the road.” It took me a minute to understand what he was doing, although I was not supposed to drive, he was letting me drive home. I saw this as God’s grace and Mercy! I took his advise and got my license back for $20.00.
A week later I was visiting my daughter and taking some bulky items plus her dog to her apartment. I thought the dog would follow me but she went the other way. I had to put every thing down to get her on the leash, gathered my things and had a nice lunch and visit with my daughter. As I was getting ready to leave I couldn’t find my pocketbook. We looked all over the apartment. Then I remembered about dropping everything by the car, but it had been several hours, buy it was not there I had my phone and keys gratefully with me.
Another trip to MVA and another $20.00., it is such a pain to stop my bank card and replace everything. I needed another pocketbook, found a nice leather one at a thrift shop for $15.00. Later I found out it was a classic Coach bag worth a whole lot more. That was nice surprise.
A week to the day when I had my pocketbook stolen, I got a US Postal box on my porch, I was curious for I had not ordered anything. When I opened it there was my pocketbook, everything just like it was only the $20.00 bill missing, I let out a loud THANK YOU LORD and started dancing around! That to me was a miracle from God.
Now I have survived depression, divorce, an abusive relationship, and being homeless. I lost most my possessions several times, and other problems over the years. Yet by God’s grace, I have seen Him provide and protect in many ways. Proverbs 3:4-5 NKJ has been one of my sustaining scriptures. “Trust the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In ALL your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.” I customize it by saying; “I Trust the Lord with my whole heart, and lean not on my understanding; and in all my ways I acknowledge Him and He has, does and will direct all my paths.”
You may have lost loved ones, had major or minor health issues, financial challenges, lost jobs, and other trials and tribulations. But whatever you are going through I pray you reach to The Great Creator God almighty to be your Strength, Hope, Sustainer, Provider. Comforter and know He Loves and Cares for you more than you know. God will make a way when there is no way.
