To have no peace is a terrible thing.
To lose all joy is no better.
I want to be rid of all this fear.
I wish that I could just cast my cares.
What makes a man refuse
To lay his burdens down?
And not still his soul before
The One who makes him whole?
How do I get rid of these tumors on my faith,
That devour all my zeal and fire?
How could I allow my weaknesses to overtake me,
And leave myself open to the enemy?
I ask myself these questions
Because I know where I should be:
Hidden in Christ, in God,
My Father, the Holy Trinity.
I am not a babe in Christ.
I know who I am and that I am free.
No more milk, but solid food.
To be mature, this is key.
I must find a place where
His will is all I seek.
I must remain in Him, and He in me
In order to get to the peak.
For the peak is where
I must go and do belong.
Oh, communion with my Father
Every blessed day long.
I must live in the Presence of my Father,
To be overshadowed in my daily walk with Him.
Just to know Him and to love Him,
That my cup would ever be filled.
My abode must be with God,
The Resurrected King within,
To bring me to perfection,
That I may reign with Him.
