Having been a Christian since I was a boy of 9 years old and now as 83 years young, I can tell you living a Christian life has not been easy all those years. However, our earthly life is made less stressful by having our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a friend to carry our burdens. I would not trade a Christian way of life as it has many benefits including the most important, eternal life with the Lord in heaven.

When we put our faith in the Lord, he tells us in John 14: 6, ".......I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Our Lord is there to take the trials and tribulations we face daily to his Father as his Son Jesus sits at his Father's right hand.

As his servant he loves us as we read in the Bible 1 John 4:9, " In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him." Verse 15-16," Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us, God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him."

We experience as a Christian a lasting joy and an abiding peace. In the Epistle of Peter he tells us, 1 Peter 1:8-9, " Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not. yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls."

Yes, God sent his Son Jesus Christ to the earth so we could have a faith relationship with him. He is ever present in our lives, gives us comfort by the Holy Spirit and strengthens us to serve others with a long earthly life. If we read God's Word the Bible, listen to his message in our church and continue with daily prayers to the Lord, he will be our closest Friend. I invite you to become a servant of the Lord today and begin a Christian life filled with joy and peace here on earth and eternal life in heaven. Your dreams will answered.

This is a nice devotion. I like the Bible verses you picked, but most of your piece was Bible verses. I'd love you to expand on it more. Maybe show some examples from your own life to make it more relatable and personal. Although you nentioned dream in the end, very little of the actual piece seemed on topic to me. You're right that being a Christian may not always be easy, but it is so worth it. Keep writing and listening to the Spirit's calling.
