TITLE: Without Me | Previous Challenge Entry

The seven seldom met in the same place at the same time so they caught up with the travels of the others and exchanged stories of purpose and meaning. Now thoroughly relaxed with countless adventures behind them and more in the offing, lively jesting had dominated the scene until the frivolity took on a more serious tone.
Wisdom precipitated the change in direction.
“I guide the right and proper decisions of those I visit. Without me, they would become lost in a sea of ideas with no clear direction and certainly no finite ending. The insight I offer makes for better lives and more constructive homes and communities. I can impart answers to deep questions and celebrate as one generation impacts the following one. What would people do without me?”
Intelligence responded. “True enough, Wisdom, but how could anyone build those homes and communities without me? They use me for blueprints and plans and logistics that brings order to their worlds. I provide logistics for math and science and other disciplines that require absolute objectivity. Also, each of the generations of which you speak need me in abundance. What would people do without me?”
Wealth chimed in. “Yes, Intelligence, but without me no one could actually develop the plans you help to create. The best blueprints in the world stand idly by on papers or programs without help from me. And what about the people who want to share in those plans? How would they feed and clothe and carry on a normal life? How would one generation help to sustain the next? What would people do without me?”
Talent quickly took the floor the precise moment Wealth finished. “But even the smartest person needs some of the basics I offer to oversee the big picture and not just the smallest of details. Someone needs the vision to know how to implement whatever plans arise and I bring that ability to the table. I make the difference between the simple and the complex from generation to generation. What would people do without me?”
Barely able to contain himself until Talent ended his plea, Beauty jumped in. “God filled the universe with my substance and He fully expects the rest of His creation to mimic what He spoke into existence. Do you want a plain world or one that expresses the wonder of life itself? Think of the joy I bring to everything I touch. What would people do without me?”
Hurriedly, Charisma spoke next with some frustration for her long wait, but also some enthusiasm as she truly believed in her place above all others. “Rather than life appearing mundane and monotonous, I bring a zeal to my surroundings and a connection with others that no one can replace. My force enhances each person and setting as I bring fulfillment to it. What would people do without me?”
Charisma exhaled and looked at the other six with a sense of accomplishment believing she had made her case definitively and all could clearly establish her as the foremost one. It disappointed her to witness heads shaking side-to-side instead of moving up and down in affirmation.
A strange silence ensued as only one voice remained and this last presenter carefully surveyed the scene around her. The sun had vanished with only a few fingers of light remaining, the air sharpened its bite forcing the seven to scooch up closer to the fire, and the six awaited the defense of the seventh with little expectancy that this last voice would seal any final verdict.
Health sat aright and looked squarely into the eyes of each of her compatriots.
She spoke softly, clearly, and assuredly. "What would the six of you do without me?”
After a thoughtful pause, the six nodded as one in agreement.
