“Trust” is an often overused word in our society today. People want you to trust them, to view them as trustworthy; but very few can actually be trusted. And then, you may only be able to trust them to a certain extent. Their trust can be fickle and subject to change, depending on the circumstances in which they find themselves. While this may seem like a dismal outlook, there is bright hope for those who put their trust in Jesus Christ.

Christ alone is the only person you can trust 100%! When you trust in Jesus Christ, you can rest secure in knowing that He will never betray your confidence. You are trusting in the one true God; the creator, Lord and master of the universe, the one who never fails. You are trusting in the one who knows everything about you and yet still loves you.

Once you put your trust in Jesus, you have a friend forever. And He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5 NKJV) Wherever you are, He is! He is there when you lie down, there when you get up. He is with you when you go out, with you when you come in. Jesus is with you in the boardroom, in the classroom, and in the courtroom. Whether you are sick or well, happy or sad, in cloud nine or down on your luck, there is no place where Jesus is absent from your life.

Most people mean well when they assure others that they can be trusted. However, people are human, and humans are prone to sin, prone to fail and disappoint from time to time. It is a reality of life that you must face. Yet, an even more important reality that you need to accept and rejoice over is the fact that you can trust in God.

Every word of God is true. (Psalms 33:4 NLT) “God is not a man that He should lie…” (Numbers 23:19), nor is He slack concerning His promise. (2 Peter 3:9-Paraphrased) So, whatever God says in His word, you need to believe it. Whatever God says He will do, you can count on it. Let every man be a liar, and let God be true. (Romans 3:4-Paraphrased)

In times like these, there is need for a savior; someone who can be trusted to defend, to protect, and to deliver people from all the ills that plague society. Thankfully, Jesus Christ is that person, that God who has already paid the price to earn your trust in Him. (John 3:16-Paraphrased) You can trust Jesus to take good care of you; you can trust Him to be your best friend forever (BFF).

There is no one else like Jesus; no one else can compare. You can search high and low, look everywhere you go. You can pay as much money as you want; but real trust can never be bought. Put your trust in Jesus Christ today, and you will have peace like never before. (John 14:27-Paraphrased)
