All around the battle is raging, destruction, and devastation as far as the eye can see. Blood flows like a river – scarlet red – wounded everywhere. There seems no hope – time stands still. But suddenly, the fighting stops. Nobody understands why at first, but then everyone sees it– the sign of surrender – a white flag. Someone has had enough and uncompromisingly declares, "I surrender."

People face battles every day: mental, physical, and spiritual. While other people may not see it, on the inside they are wounded – their personal, inner, world is full of destruction and devastation – some eternally.

So, how do people handle their personal battles? When they are wounded, what is the best way to survive? How can the white flag be raised?

Many people fight their battles on their own. Why? Because they have never been taught, or they have rejected, the fact that Jesus died so we can have victory in every area of life. They do not have the peace that surpasses all understanding because they have not accepted Jesus as their personal savior.

When a person becomes a Christian, the battles do not magically stop, in fact, they often increase. The Bible states in Psalms 34:19, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous:” but the verse continues, “but the LORD delivereth him out of them all” (KJV). In other words, we do not need to fight alone.

When Jesus died on the cross, blood flowed from His body, scarlet red, symbolic of the sins of the world that He carried on His shoulders. My sins – your sins. " ... saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet” Isaiah 1:18 (KJV). Thus as humans, our flag of surrender is not white, it is scarlet, but our results are truly the very purest white “they shall be as white as snow” Isaiah 1:18 (KJV).

In a physical war, the color of surrender, or defeat, is white. For Christians, the resulting color of true surrender, or eternal victory, is white. White – The Color of Surrender. White – The Color for All Who Say to God, “I Surrender All!”
