Because they ate the forbidden fruit, (the fall of man) the man becomes a farmer to till the soil filled with thorns and thistles and the woman is suffer pain in child birth. As Adam is naming all the creatures, Genesis, 3:23, " And Adam said, This now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of man." Man becomes dominate over woman. and even though Adam had sin against the Lord God, he was allowed to live a very long life.
Men in the Old Testament continued to live hundreds of years as they served the Lord. Noah in Genesis 9-29, " And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years and he died." However, the helpmate, the wife of these Godly men are not so blessed with long lives,
The lifespan of man continued to be less as we read the Old Testament, God's history of the Jewish nation. Everywhere I look for answers, I see that man's continued sin is given as the only reason, but I have asked in prayer for the Lord, if it is his will, to add other causes. The age of man reached an all time low, two hundred years ago, when the age of forty years was the life expectancy.
I read in the Bible where the Jewish nation changed their respect for mans helpmate after they returned from exile. The woman was blamed for all the trials and tribulations they experienced, time and time again.
In the New Testament, we see the change where our Lord Jesus Christ lifted the respect for women and gave them areas where they can serve the Lord. The Bible tells us. in Matt 12;46-50." The true family of Jesus is those who do his Father's will." The early Church congregations were family or house churches, led by householders, including women and husband and wife joint leaders. (Acts 2-46, Romans 16,3-5, 1Cor 16: 15.19, Philem 1.2. As Jesus ministered to the masses and his disciples, He spoke to women and the Lord's respect for women at times caused His disciples to question the Lord's respect for the Jewish laws of the day.
Today, we see where man has now a life expectancy of 75 years and his helpmate still has the 80 plus years that God originally gave her. A helpmate now is as God planned, to be there for the full life of man and they both worship the Lord together. Women have accepted many duties in the Lord's Church today and use their God given abilities to serve our gracious and loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Yes, The true family of Jesus is those who do the Father's will.

I noticed a few missing commas (especially after introductory phrases) and words. A good thing to remember is to click preview before submit. That will show you how the reader will see the story. I often pick up quite a few errors when I see the story in the other format.
Some of your transitions to another topic or person are a bit rocky. You may want to check out Jan's Writing Basics on the message boards. She has a thread where she tackles transitions. An example of one way to fix the transition might be something like this. As we read through Genesis, we come across another man who lived a long life, Noah. (Then, you could go on and talk more about Noah.)
I did enjoy reading this and it reminded me of one of my stories I did when I was a newer member. With some tweaking, I think this would be a perfect fit for a Christian Women's magazine. You make awesome points. I could even see this used as part of a Bible study. I think you did a great job of starting off with an intriguing line to propel the reader onward. Your ending is strong too. It brings the article full circle. I'm eager to read more of your writing.
