“Mama, mama, mama… for the Kansan Wax Museum, Mrs. Scarborough expects our reports back in four days!”
That’s Bella, my energetic fourth grader who can hardly contain her excitement whenever she has a history assignment.
“Hold your horses, girl!” I heard myself yelling before quickly changing into a softer tone. “You don’t want to knock over my cup of tea, do you?”
Her hug was brief. “Sorry Mama.” Then she continued at what seemed like a hundred words per minute. “But this is going to be so much fun because I get to dress up like the character I will choose from this list.”
“Oh, is that so? Let me see that.” The piece of paper was readily handed to me.
“And you’ll never guess.” I could tell from her enthusiasm that Bella already had an idea in her mind. “The person I’ve picked was an actress!”
There were so many names to choose from. You would think that she would be spoilt for choice but no, Bella knew who she would dress up as.
“The note says to ask your parents for help so…” I started but was interrupted.
“Yes, I know we’re supposed to do it together but I just want you to watch me. Mrs. Scarborough said that we can do our research from library books or the internet.”
“That’s alright my dear. Have your snack first.” I said, desperately needing a power-nap.
As is with any research or investigation there are questions which should be answered and finding the right answers is what makes the work credible. So we embarked on Bella’s assignment which took us a couple of days and she was right actually - it was fun. The creative imagination of kids always amazes me. In addition to her ideas, we got excerpts from some books at the library, googled the rest of the answers and voila, the assignment was completed on time. Needless to say, it was that easy.
Conversely, from time to time, one might have questions that aren’t so simple. Some can be answered in this realm while others have their answers in another sphere. For instance, when a loved one becomes terminally ill or dies, we are tempted to inquire. Experts, in their limited wisdom may try to assist us but there is the One who knows it all. He has all the accurate solutions for difficult problems that can’t be googled. Like, who will die next? What will they die from? When will it occur? Why them? How will the process be? He who knows the end from the beginning is omniscient. He may choose to reveal or conceal. It is His glory to conceal a matter; anything concealed belongs to Him but things revealed belong to us forever. (Proverbs 25:2a NIV, Deuteronomy 29:29 NIV).
In the course of life we come to discover that not all issues can be googled, yet before our time on earth expires we need clarity. For instance: What is my purpose in life? Am I valuable? Who is my provider? Who controls my destiny? What am I responsible for? God is the only one who can answer those questions for us. He needs not search into anything; nothing can be hid from him. In view of the fact that a manufacturer knows the purpose, value and capabilities of his product, it would be right to conclude that the Creator is very knowledgeable about His creation; which we are. Meeting with Jesus is the only way we can receive unambiguous responses to our life’s queries. Without Him, an emptiness that cannot be filled with anything else exists. Do you have questions and are searching for answers? Try Jesus, He cannot be googled, yet He is God’s answer to humanity. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

The flow in both parts was smooth as well as the transition to the main part of your article.
