When bad things like terrorist attacks or any heinous incidences of that nature happen, a lot of people are affected. However, some of those who live through these darkest of nights come out sharing testimonies and stories of hope. As Christians, it would do us good to always remember that despite what we go through, we are to be a light of this world. (Matthew 5:14).
Are you in a difficult situation that you need to be a witness of?
This past Monday I was speaking to a dear sister and got so encouraged as well as challenged in my spirit. This young woman is battling a serious health problem but in the midst of her dark night she is offering hope and encouragement to those in a similar situation. She was at the hospital for chemotherapy and couldn’t help overhearing another patient on phone panicking about chemo, hair loss, side effects and a whole other range of stuff associated with cancer. As soon as the other woman hung up the phone my sister stepped in and shared the message of hope and the faithfulness of God. Even on your dark night, if you let Him, God can still use you. Yes, you can provide light at the end of someone else’s tunnel!
This reminds me of Paul and Silas on their dark night: About midnight they were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. (Acts 16:25). Some people will get to hear, understand and receive the gospel only through you because you are in a situation they can identify with – the same tunnel. You’re more real and more relevant to them. View your tunnel as your platform or pulpit to proclaim the message of Jesus Christ – the True Light. God has an eternal purpose for the problem you’re facing. Out of those ashes, where all seems lost; if you let Him, He is able to give you beauty that you can share with others.

Well done. Thanks for sharing.
It was easy to follow, no side excursions.
Good information for us to think about even before we might be in the dark tunnel.
One piece of constructive feedback. Your opening question and Can I be honest with you? is rhetorical. No one wants someone to be dishonest when writing, speaking, et al.
Someone sharing this advice with me so I'm passing it along. Nice story with a great message.
God bless~
