There once a man who was the expert,
Of miracles and wonders in the desert,
Lord of all trades under the sun,
Born to be the Omnipotent One.

There once was a man who walked this earth,
And loved all sinners for all their worth,
Teaching and healing and saving each soul,
Raising the dead and making them whole.

There once was a man who reached out to mankind,
Who healed a leper with all men in mind,
Forgave the woman who drew from the well,
Kept the adulteress from going to hell.

There once was a man who loved us so much,
He healed the blind with only a touch,
His marvelous hands tendered mercy with ease,
Grace was rendered to mend and please.

There once was a man who bled at our cost,
Washing the blood of all who were lost,
Captured and tortured for kings men to see,
Letting the souls of chained mortals go free.

There once was a man who died on the cross,
In lieu of our sins and all of their loss,
As God sacrificed His begotten Son,
Evil fled fast and goodness was won.

There once was a man who became God's spirit,
With a voice so true a soul's ear can hear it.
Soothing away all the madness and hurt,
Of miracles and wonders, He's the expert.
