In darkness
She needs the brightness of
A million camera lights
Exploding
To know that she is alive
She cannot grow
In silence
She needs the buzz of
A dozen microphones
Catching her words
To know that she matters
She cannot be
Ignored
So she crawls out of taxis
Not always fully sober
Not always fully clothed
To know that you see her
She cannot talk
So she pouts
And lets her clothes
Outrageous colours and styles
Speak for her
To know she have a message
She cannot leave
Centre stage
And give way to someone
With more beauty
And less history
To know she is replaced
She cannot be
Anything but what you made her
Airbrushed pictures of a
A doll, a darling
You made her believe
She is immortal
But there is
More than what you print
There is something
More than pixels
There is soul and spirit
She is made in His image.

Paparazzis and journalists love to capitalize on the glitter and glamour.
You did a super job of capturing that concept.
Congrats on your first place EC!
