Rich hues that paint our days,
Perhaps the most important,
Is that tricky shade of gray.
It creeps into daily living,
Each decision that we make,
The blacks and whites turn murky,
The solutions are opaque.
There is no magic formula,
No flow chart to consult,
No quick and easy remedy,
For positive results.
What then is the answer,
When faced with a hard choice?
Just be still and listen,
For the sound of a small voice.
If the Father is invited,
To dwell in inside your heart,
He will bring along a gift,
That will play a special part.
A member of the Trinity,
The Holy Spirit is your guide,
Interceding with the Father,
On Him you can confide.
At first you may be asking,
How will I comprehend?
With prayer and meditation,
You’ll get to know your Friend.
Walk with Him and talk with Him,
Read your Bible every day,
Turn every thought upward,
And He will guide your way.
