Topic: Inspiration/Block (for the writer) (05/20/10)
I know I have a story--I know I do! It was there, in my mind, just two days ago. Lord, where did it go? Oh why didn’t I write it down the second You put it into my thoughts? Now it’s Thursday morning and I still can’t think of it. It’s almost too late to submit for the Faithwriters Weekly Challenge!

Lord, I know that YOU are always with me; but where did this story idea go? I haven’t even the faintest glimmer of what it was. If I go upstairs to clean the bathroom, it’s not there. If I go down to the basement for laundry, it’s not there either! If I rise early, rolling out of bed before anyone else, still, it’s not there.

No idea, not a clue. Nothing. Nada. And it was a GOOD idea too! Well, I guess this is it for this week. I’ll have to resign myself to the fact that, for now at least, it’s a goner. At least I won’t have to sit on pins and needles looking for little yellow boxes this week! Of course, I know what’s going to happen at about 10:05 this morning…

Smile! Yes, writer's block! I loved your homage to Psalm 139 in your middle paragraph! :)

Haven't we all been there? I can emphathize completely. I like how you alluded to Psalm 139, although God, unlike our inspiration, is always there.

I also recognized Psalm 139. It was creatively done. I liked the way you expressed your frustration. I've through the same thing many times. As the Psalm says so well no matter where we go, God is still there. Keep writing.
