For Grinches and greed and gremlins that rave.
Grrr! has such an unpleasant sound
It sends all who hear it racing around.
Venting our anger, frustration and fear
We drive for the jugular of anyone near.
Grrr! is a warning, “Don’t get too close
You will be sorry, you will be morose.”
Grrr! is the snarl on a high traffic day
Caught amidst cars on an icy freeway.
Grrr! we all growl as we gnash teeth together
Demanding an end to this terrible weather.
We grouse when the groundhog says still six more weeks
Go back to your ear muffs, your coats and cold cheeks.
We can always find something in life to cause strife,
From a grumpy husband to a nit picky wife.
Like a cold Grrr! soon spreads and is easily caught.
We almost could call it our national sport.
Grrr! is for Tiger who thought he could win
Not only in golf but also in sin,
A man ends in ruin when he won’t count the cost,
And finds that everything valued is lost.
Grrr! is a man that is greedy and grim,
Waiting for Chance to rain favor on him.
Lottery winners shout and rejoice,
But it can all become Grrr! with one unwise choice.
Grrr! is the gripe in the heart of this nation,
Grrr! is the sound sneered from station to station.
Republicans, Democrats, ranting and raving,
Saying it’s everyone else misbehaving.
Grudges and grievances all over the earth,
Digging up dirt for all that they're worth.
Politicians and preachers exposed by the fact
That morals and decency are only an act.
Will God soon look down on all of this stuff?
Grrr! He will say with chagrin, “That’s enough!
I died for all nations, for people and pain,
I‘ve given them chances again and again.
They ignore the cry of those broken and torn,
They live for themselves, let the rest mourn.”
But God in His mercy keeps sending His Word,
Calling all people to obey what they’ve heard.
Let’s go from the Grrr’s! to the giving of praise,
Let wonder and gratitude fill up our days.
Begone all you negatives gripes and complaints,
We shall speak with the words befitting of saints.
We cannot continue our self-centered prayers,
We can no longer practice the language of Grrr’s!

An attitude of gratitude 'in every thing' makes a whole lot of difference.
I loved the message, the words-- put together in one delightful, teaching poem.
Very good work.
