Green-like,
Streaked of ripeness,
Advertising,
Sweetness within.
Bahamas sand hair
On a breezy,
Wind whipped sea,
Streaked of sunlight,
Tinges of morning pink.
Caramel skin,
Not dark,
Golden smooth tanned petals
Only grown in Heaven,
Streaked with stars glimmer.
North Pole white teeth,
Laser cleaned by Angels,
Streaked with love,
Advertising,
Jesus within.
She was my life,
The color of my world.
Now,
In winter,
When nature sleeps,
Trees look dead,
Where snow falls in furies,
I hike where air is thin,
And all is white.
I hibernate
In slumber
Where all is bright
And color is reflected
Away from
My heart,
A dead white heart
Hiding beneath its dream,
Muzzling my screams
She was my life,
The color of my world.
There is no happy ending,
Just a continuing.
Silver linings aren’t worth much
When a heart beats only because it has to.
I don’t know why she left me?
I only had three girlfriends,
A blonde,
A redhead,
A brunette,
But they didn’t mean nothing,
Honest.
They all left me too.
I’ve written poems about them
As well,
But
Not as pretty as this one.
Because,
She was my life,
The color of my world.
(And she was a rich Christian girl too
Took me to the Bahamas and everything)
She left me a Dear John letter
When she moved to Argentina.
I’m to the third chapter,
Maybe I’ll find a new
Color for my world
In its red ink?
What do you think?
Will this Jesus have me?
What would your vote be?
