He is the cornerstone and the capstone.
He is the rock that the builders rejected.
He is the tried stone, the precious cornerstone,
The sure foundation.
He’s my Rock—
He is the horn of my salvation.
He is my fortress, my high tower.
His name is a strong tower:
I run into it and am safe.
He’s God’s Lamb—
He is the Lamb without blemish.
He is the Lamb Who was slaughtered.
He was silent before His shearers.
He opened not His mouth.
He’s God’s Lamb—
He was slain from the foundation of the world.
He washes with His blood.
He receives power, riches, and wisdom,
Strength, honor, glory, and blessing.
Hard as a rock, soft as a Lamb,
Jesus my Savior, God’s only Son.
Rock of offense, stone of stumbling,
Lamb and Shepherd, gentle loving Lord.*
