To Grandma and Grandpa, My Dears,
I give testimony to all of my peers
Of kindness you gave
For Jesus did save
Both of you from all of your fears

On this earth you did bring lots of grace,
Which brought me out of the awful rat race
You did testify
That Jesus was nigh
So I ran to the cross in fast pace

Oh Grandma, Oh Grandma, My Love,
I wish you could see from above
That I came to know
How to resist the foe
Holy Ghost has led me like a dove

Oh Grandpa, Oh Grandpa, My Sweet,
To know you has been such a treat
Your gracious eyes
Made me realize
All the WORD you gave me for meat

And now I’m a grandparent too
Of granddaughters who are very few
But they will become
Great in the Kingdom.
They will gather themselves with the true!

So very blessed is my family tree
From the Gospel that you shared with me
I passed it along
Making my children strong
I’m grateful to impart your rich legacy!

I enjoyed hearing of this legacy passed through the generations. How fortunate you were to have saved grandparents!

I think many grandparents played a major role in bringing their grandchildren to the cross. You challenge me with this to be diligent in teaching my grandchildren. I like your loving terms for your grandparents, "My Dears", "My Love", and "My Sweet". Your ending stanza is great, " -- So very blessed is my family tree -- From the Gospel that you shared with me -- I passed it along -- Making my children strong -- I’m grateful to impart your rich legacy! " Nice work, beautiful thoughts in this!

A beautiful poem. I do not write poetry, but I really admire people who can write it. It's such a beautiful form of writing, and this poem helps showcase the beauty of it.
