THE VOICE OF TRUTH

There are times when as a child of God we might be passing through a particular trail or tribulation and we might be too overwhelmed to pray .At such times a believer might wonder where God is in the scheme of things. And in one’s head and mind, different kinds of thought would be going on depending on the magnitude of the trial and the level of one’s faith.
A new gospel song captures this type of mind set with the lyrics ,”the voice of truth tells me a different story , the voice of truth says do not be afraid the voice truth say this for my glory, out of all the voices calling out to me I will chose to listen and believe the voice of truth” .
When everything is going on well, one may not realize the importance of recognizing the voice of God but in situation where the devil roaring and the storm is blowing from every side, all the child God needs is then a word from the Lord about the situation. How do you then know the voice of truth so that you can hold to what it says?
Romans 8:14 says as many as are led by the spirit of God they are the children of God, when we become born again the Lord deposits His spirit in us it is this spirit that marks the voice of God in our hearts . Dallas Willard says “it is spirit of exalted peacefulness and confidence, of joy, of sweet reasonableness and of goodwill. It is in short the spirit of Jesus… Any word that bears an opposite spirit is surely not the voice of God. And because his voice bears authority within itself, it does not need to be loud or hysterical “
It is in hearing and recognizing this voice that we can avoid confusion and be sure that God is real and he is who He says He is.
When we have an encounter with the Lord by receiving a word from him on a particular issue it helps to put things in perspective especially if we can balance the word we receive with the word of God in the bible.
I pray that will continue to help us recognize his voice in the mighty name of Jesus

Restructure this so that there are spaces between paragraphs, and have someone proof it for minor errors. Also, introducing a name without explanation confuses the reader. I think you have something to say there, and posed somewhat better it might gain readership.

I agree with Dub — a little work here and you'd have a great piece. Consistency in pronouns like "one," "you," and "we," would help too. Choose one of those and stick with it throughout. Good message.
