How sad the words do tell
For one who could have been in glory
And chose instead the horrors of hell
How bittersweet the ransom
That paid our debt of sin
Only one person gets you into heaven
And we must put our faith in him
When they laughed and taunted him
To come down off the cross
The creator of the universe
Died to save the lost
For every stripe upon his back
He won another soul
And when he fell beneath the burden
He was broken by sin's load
The weight of sin was heavy
As death aproached the king
Even then forgiving all who came
For life can only comes through him
And so for those who almost came
One day they'll have to stand
Before a holy, righteous God
To answer his commands
When hell stands before them
They will cry out in fear
Begging not to be sent to this place
As they cry an ocean of tears
But for those who love the Savior
The memories will fade
Of war, and hate, and sinfulness
Sickness , loss, and pain
The world will sing of victory
And chant of love and peace
As they develope everlasting faith
For every soul that Christ redeems
We will have eternal glory
Love and joy to share
Privilege in the great hereafter
Forever bright, and fair
Every day will be happy
No tears, anger, or shame
Because they were persuaded
To lean on Jesus name
