And plead my case to You until the dawn.
When days seem dark as night You still are there
You gently hold my hand and lead me on.
When I’m afraid and don’t know what to do
You gently tell me that I should not fear.
I know deep in my heart Your Word is true
And You shall wipe away each single tear.
You lead me to accounts of days gone by
Where in Your might You smote the enemy.
I hold Your Word against me and I sigh
I know that You shall give me victory.
And when the darkness gives way to the light
Our fears shall pass away and be no more.
In glory You shall set all things aright
All praise will be for Him whom I adore!
Jesus, my Deliverer and King –
Forever of Your mercies I shall sing!
