Joy For Mankind:

Joy, for all the fortunate ones that have found Jesus and God. They are blessed to have a life that includes God and something to look forward to. Compare them to the less fortunate people that have not yet accepted Jesus and God as their salvation. What do they have? They may be wealthy in the material possessions of the world and secure in their station in life, but it can all go away in a heartbeat. That’s right a heartbeat, or lack of one. How many possessions can they take with them to the afterlife? The poorest person in the world is richer than the most wealthy if only they believe in God. For what good will it be for a man to gain the world only to loose his soul? Isn’t it true in most cases that the gathering of wealth comes with the loss of morality? Those that elude themselves by thinking that the answer to happiness is the acquiring of material wealth are in for a big shock.

How often is the paper full of the trials and tribulations of the rich and famous? Why are these people always looking for something that isn’t there? What is it that they are all looking for when they turn to alcohol or drugs? Why with all their money and resources can’t they find happiness? On the other end of the scale is the down and out person that has given up their family and everything they own and now sleep and eat on the street. Or the family that has no time for each other and eat on the run and think only of themselves?

What common link do all these people have? In a lot of cases alcohol and drugs play a prominent role. Another big player is the lust for either flesh or just plain greed and the lust for material possessions. Many of these people have focused all their attention on the so called luxuries in life.

There can be no greater joy in life than the joy in finding Christ and living your life the way God wants you to. With God in our lives there is no need to lust for money and give ourselves over to the carnal pleasures of a sinful life. God is the answer to all our problems and the fulfillment of everything we need. God will answer our prayers if we only ask. The only way to live in joy and happiness is to accept Christ as your savior and keep the faith with God.

If all else fails read the book of directions, The Bible, Gods Word. Everything you need to know to live a Christian life is in the book of instruction. Friends and possessions may come and go but God will always be there. Only God can bring you lasting joy and he is always there waiting for you to love him. God wants to bestow his love and blessing on you if only you will ask.

All good stuff, but I'd have loved some illustrations to make the point. (A seeing is worth a thousand tellings.) Well done.

Solid stuff. Sounds like an excellent broth for spiritual nurture. Could do with some appetizers around - I mean illustrations or stories. Anyway, God bless you and keep you writing!
