Webster defines sparkle as a brightly shining flash of light, or as the quality or state of being that is effervescent. In our ministry, we define “sparkle” as that incredible moment when Heaven touches earth.
Everyone in ministry longs to have a precious moment like the one I just described - but to get to it – the servant of God has to be like the gold miner who works long hours in a cramped space - wielding his pick axe over and over again, so that he can cut away the mountain of stone that lies before him.
In order to get to that prize, the miner willingly engages in this backbreaking labour, and he is not discouraged - because he is perfectly aware that the source of his payday comes from something valuable that goes for $2,276.47 CAD an ounce.
Like the miner, my husband and I are engaged in back-breaking ministry, but neither are we discouraged. For 25 years, we’ve gone after the sparkle – raining down blow after blow after blow upon the rock of despair that stands in front of our people.
We’ve cradled the hand of helplessness - quietly listening and praying for support, then we’ve gone out and done everything from moving furniture, to buying groceries, to picking up the tab for cheer-leading school.
We’ve driven babies to day care, children to kindergarten, teenagers to school, adults to doctors’ appointments in a city 500 miles away, and urns to the grave. We’ve done all of these things to comfort and help the people we can see – because we love our Lord Jesus whom we can’t - and for us, payday will be priceless.
But right now we’re totally spent, and we’re about to close that door. Just as we begin to move it, however, we hear another small knock …

From your brief message within this entry, I doubt God will allow you to shut the door. And based on your wrap up, I don't think you want to close it either!
God bless you both~
