Topic: WAIT (05/21/20)
If we're all being sincere, I have to confess to you that I do not like to wait. I have a problem waiting in lines or especially being put on hold while speaking with an individual, or when they say something like, " Do you mind waiting a moment, someone else is calling." Whenever I hear that I respond, NO, I don't wish to hold, and my time is precious. Ha, ha, Once I went on to say that " You and I were readily engaged in our conversation and, is the caller more important than me? The young woman almost broke down in tears stating that every call was essential as well as urgent. At this moment in time, I felt the need to build her up somewhat. I responded with, "You See, now I feel like I am important to you, " I could perceive her smile and enthusiasm through the phone.

I must ask, have you ever wondered why so many of us desire things RIGHT NOW? I, for one, believe that technology played a significant part in why we want it now. You see, I genuinely feel that we are programmed, yes, from the very first television commercial that we ingested as a child. Fast seems to be in our culture; No waiting, first come, first served. Even as infants, we figured out how to make mom and dad give in to our demands, we staged a temper tantrum. They would come quickly to pick us up or to present something to put into our mouths, like a snack, a meal, or a tender loving hug until much later catching on to babies' manipulation(s). Have you ever truly listened when your infant and toddler
sounded off, they were saying I want it, and or you right now. The longer you make me wait, the louder I'll cry. I'm only teasing you, who knows what's in a child's mind except for self-gratification, and I don't want to wait.

Sad but true, there are; still, many out there who haven't figured out what we should sincerely be waiting for; of course, I'm speaking of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
I am getting better at watching and waiting for the Second Coming of our Lord. Therefore, multiple times during my waking hours, I check my thoughts, actions, and deeds. You see, I don't want to be one who can only talk the talk. Likewise, I don't intend on just making it into heaven by a hair. My idea is to be up close and personal, so Waiting on, my Lord's return is paramount to me.

You know I believe that Jesus wants us to spend quality time waiting, and taking care of his people plus doing his work here on earth. Both within our Local Body (the Church) and outside of it. Doesn't this sound like a great way to prepare for Christ's Glorious return?
I was sharing with a brother in the faith early yesterday evening. I took the ground that " Our God is not slow, and He's Not on our timetable. "
Psalm 90:4," For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it passes by, Or as a watch in the night." Moses reminds us that a thousand years are like a day to Father God. Our Heavenly Father is not, nor has he ever been limited by time. I'm aware that it's easy for us to get discouraged as the years continue to pass by, and yet, no Jesus. I caution you to watch with expectation. Nothing is impossible with God. So do not presume that God is under the same limitations as us. I once read that God is categorically unrestricted by time because he is everlasting; we can depend on him for this reason. Please indulge me, one last scripture: 2 Peter 3:8-9, " (8) But do not let this fact escape your notice, beloved that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like one day. (9) The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance." I'm of the mind that Jesus is waiting so that more sinners will repent and turn to him. One could even make a case that Jesus hasn't even been gone for a week yet. I have heard reports during this present pandemic that the Holy Bible continues to fly off the shelves; many folks are also joining Small Groups ( Bible Studies) through Zoom or another.

Waiting for Jesus does not give us a license to sit around doing nothing. We must do what we can, while we can, as long as we don't run ahead of Father God. " God Is, Worth Waiting On! "

This is a good read with a good message. However, it needs to be more structured, with better flow so the reader can follow along. Drop the cliches. They can be annoying! Also, work on getting your article technically perfect. All punctuation, spacing, quotes, etc. That is also a great help to the reader.
