Topic: MISSION (01/30/20)
My commission in life is to be a man used by God. God has allowed me a platform to share my testimony (my story) on many occasions. Our Father uses me to share my faith with the unsaved as well as the saved. He has given me a Holy Boldness as it were. He has also touched me with a heart of compassion only because I asked. In my opinion, I have had empathy but not the kindness of God. I knew that for me to do the job that our Father God has given me that I needed a special blessing, a touch from God. I believe that any of us can pray, but naturally, we pray for ourselves and those in our families and in our sphere of influence, which is easy enough. But to pray for strangers and their prayer concerns, I knew that I needed to feel their pain sincerely. Some of the things that I hear about makes my ears almost bleed.

I'm of the mindset that we have not because we ask not, so it is vital for us when we ask of the Father that we are not asking amiss. Now, here are two verses in the Bible that immediately came to mind: James 4:2-3, " You wouldn't think of just asking God for it, would you? And why not? Because you know you'd be asking for what you have no right to. You're spoiled children, each wanting your own way (MSG)." Verse 3 " You do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures (NASB)." Now I work hard not to pray just for my desires; I've asked God to help me to get rid of the selfish desires that may still be in me when I pray. As a man of prayer and one who ministers to men daily, this is my Mission in life.

I'm intentional about seeking wisdom from above, which helps me to stay grounded. Much of what I hear, which overshadows almost anything else, is about the man's spouse. I hear about Quarrels, physical fighting, separations, Breakups, and finally, divorce. I make myself available to first
pray and then listen, and once again, I pray specifically for each situation using the Word of God as my guide. I never know when I will receive a call or an email, text, or a knock at the door from a guy in distress. What I do, I do seven days a week, mainly sharing and caring for hurting brothers in the faith. Oh, when I'm not with a brother sharing somehow, I'm
in my Word studying.

Sometimes, it can be hard to pray for God's will than what I think I need! But it always works out.
