There are three types of us human hairs, and I will mention the growth stages only as I don't wish to bore you. The first stage would be the Lanugo hair; secondly the Vellus hair and finally the Terminal hair, which is me. The man that I live with gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ, and that pleases me a great deal. This particular man that I belong to is always sharing his faith with others; in turn, I receive stimulation from him as he runs his hand and fingers through me and the other hairs, we tend to perk up. I know the term comb, brush, and he even applies hair product(s) to me, which is most enjoyable.
A question for you, were you aware that a hair on the average human's head can grow about one-half inch in a single month? Food for thought there can be as many as 300.000 of us hairs on one human head at any given time, of course, there may be some variations? We hairs go through alternating periods of rest and then growth. Now, on average, humans shed 100 to 150 of us per day from their scalps. My human is presently becoming hair challenged as he has lost hundreds of us already. At the beginning of our growth phase on the scalp, we can live for about three years. I didn't mention before that we also go through what we call the rest phase, during this resting phase is the beginning of the end for us which we may last up to three months on the scalp. I have to get a little technical now, the bulb pulls back from the root, and in the end, life as we hairs know it is over, we fall out dead. But by the grace of God, a new hair will grow in the same old follicle. Something that I hear my human repeat often is " Praise The Lord," or " Isn't God good."
I love this guy as he takes me often in fact weekly to a place called church. I have heard him share with others how important it is to fellowship with others of like mind. He talks about belonging to the " Body of Christ," I have heard him say that some are hands others feet and so on, I am pleased being a hair.

You believe that the other hairs and I venture to guess when we will turn grey even when we might be cut and trimmed. I genuinely believe that I'm better off belonging to a human rather than an animal. Especially an animal who is continuously licking itself, like a feline, for instance, and then becoming a possible hairball in its stomach. Men and Women when it comes to grooming their hair, they cut, pluck, wax, tweezer, trim, to beautify themselves. Now what I've shared with you is pretty much the life that I have, hold on here comes his hand and a brush in the other, I can tell he's getting ready to witness to someone.
