Looking at things so near
of the sin that’s mine.
God promises He will be
at the finish line.

I wander in darkness
cannot see a thing.
I’m guilty of my sins
hiding from the King.

If I had just one wish
You could make come true.
I would be standing there
I’d be close to You.

But I still wander off
I had heard a voice.
Leaving the One I love
I have made my choice.

My sins are presented
to here in a row.
They’re shaded in a shroud
of death soon I will know.

I hear Your voice calling
ask me to come home.
But I am resisting
I’m left on my own.

Now the race is over
I have made on time.
Stumbled as I’m running
‘cross the finish line.

And You’re there to catch me.
wipe away my sin.
As I knock on the door
with love You let me in.
