Topic: Vines (11/21/05)
There is a vineyard that is less than perfect. Not every leaf and vine resembles the others of its kind. Some leaves are hearty and green; others show distinct signs of age. The vegetation comes in many colors, shapes and sizes. But out of this seeming disarray of tangled vines comes beautiful, nourishing fruit. Naturally, this imperfect mass of vines and tendrils is not responsible for producing such a bountiful harvest on its own. Instead, the vines are tended by a grower. True, any random vine is capable of bearing fruit, but the sweetest and most valuable fruit is produced under the loving care of the vineyard's owner. The vines themselves, representing imperfect humanity, need not be flawless. This is because God, the Creator of all life, is the summit of perfection. He is perfect in ways that mankind cannot comprehend. He is perfect enough to know exactly how to use imperfect vines. If we were forced to wait for the arrival of perfect vines, we would be waiting forever, and no fruit would ever be produced. Once we realize that we, like the vines, are incapable of achieving perfection on our own, then it becomes easier to submit to the will of God, in whose garden we have been placed to thrive and bloom. Under His wise and omniscient care, our imperfect natures are eventually guided toward producing those spiritual fruits which will further God's kingdom. Even a garden which seems, at first glance, to be disorderly and chaotic can bring forth a magnificent harvest when touched by the divine hand of the Creator.

Very true. We need the Master's touch to shape us and allow us to bear good fruit, even in a garden that is chaotic.

A brilliant, vital, and beautifully-worded message. I would only suggest that you break up the paragraph a bit so that it's easier to read. Great job!

God can use us all to accomplish His work here on earth. All we need to provide is a willing heart. This article reads like a devotional. It can be broken up into four or five paragraphs for easier reading, but the flow is very good.
