To find out what I mean.
To look within myself in truth
Not just in a dream.
I wander ‘round the world
To find what dwells within.
I try to live the future
As what it might have been.
All of this is empty
I only look a mess.
I can’t find direction
I have failed my test.
Nothing I have is working
I’m frozen cannot move.
The things I try to be
I have yet to prove.
Reality has touched me
Brings tears into my eyes.
I find I can’t do it alone
No matter how I try.
Then what is the answer
Where should I begin?
I stand and look ahead
Still can’t see within.
So I sit here saddened
I feel I can’t go on.
Cause everything I try to do
Seems to turn out wrong.
Now I see an answer
I will employ someone.
But where would I find them
This searching isn’t fun.
In the quiet of the evening
I kneel in silent prayer.
I know my quest is over
My answer is right there.
God will be my teacher
He’ll show me how to live.
I will give my life to Him
That’s all that I can give.
Now I’ve found employment
My job’s an easy one.
All I do is spread the news
About his precious Son.
He gave His life for me
Who could ask for more?
At my job I’ve succeeded
I found out what I’m for.
